Riot Fest Reviews are in!
The reviews are coming in and everyone agrees that the Busted at Oz Reunion Rocked!
Here’s what The Punk Vault said about the Subverts:
“The Subverts starting the next inning and featured their original lineup. They opened with, ‘Radiation Nation’ and it sounded like they haven’t aged a year since they disbanded. They played a really solid set of their classic speedy punk songs and they all sounded great. For a band that has only played live twice in the last twenty-something years (and both being in the past 12 months), they sure sounded like they never stopped. This was a band that didn’t get as much recognition as they should have in the annals of Chicago punk history.”
I couldn’t agree more!

Busted at Oz Reunion Blew the Roof Off!
Subverts played to a enthusiastic SOLD OUT crowd at Double Door on Wednesday night to kick off Riot Fest 2010! Thanks to everyone who came out and condolences to those who couldn’t. All the bands were great, and everyone had a great time. Also, a big hand to Dem and Riot Mike for putting the show together and for taking such good care of us. Best of all, we raised a nice chunk of change to benefit the homeless of Chicago. How can you beat that!
For those who keep track, here’s the set list:
- Radiation Nation
- Man for the Job
- State of the Union
- Psycho High
- March Forth
- Sick Society
- TV Personality
- Eyesore
- Mindless Fun
- Can’t Control Myself
